Hamburg - The 8th ship of the fleet is expected in Kiel on April 9th for her naming ceremony. It will also be the start of her maiden voyage to the north of Europe.
The new ship built by Meyer Werft, Germany is 252 Meter long and 32,20 Meters wide. There are 1097 cabins on 14 decks. The passengers will be attended by some 607 crew. AIDAsol offers twelve bars and lounges and as many as seven restaurants.
Lutz Elevators equipped her with 10 passenger elevators and 7 service lifts. A highlight is the on-board brewery and, in terms of elevation, the new Body and Soul-Lift between Deck 11 and 12 and. Here a huge spa area of 2,602 square meters will satisfy every demand.
The ship is powered by four Caterpillar MaK Diesel-electric powerplants, which give her a cruising speed of 20 knots and a maximum speed of 22 knots.
